About us and these terms
This website is owned and operated by Synergic Swift Publication Private Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), a publishing house that publishes and sells books of every kind — school and study books, and academic, professional, literary and cultural titles — in print and digital formats. These terms apply when you browse the website, create a customer account, send us an enquiry, ask about our publishing services, submit a manuscript, register for an event, apply for a job, download a resource or buy books from us. By using the website, creating an account, registering or placing an order, you agree to them.
Please read them together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping and Delivery Policy, Returns, Refunds and Cancellations policy, Cookie Policy, Grievance Redressal page, Intellectual Property and Copyright Policy and Disclaimer. Manuscript submissions also follow our Manuscript Submission Policy, and events follow our Event and Workshop Terms.

Who can use this website
To create an account, place an order, register for an event or submit a form, you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Indian law. If you act for a school, institution or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so. Some of our books are written for children, but purchases and registrations must be made by an adult.
Our books and the information we show
- We describe every book as accurately as we can, including, where available, its title, category, edition, number of pages (or running time, for audiobooks), format, language, ISBN and country of origin, and — for school and study books — its class and subject.
- Cover images and sample pages show what a book looks like. Colours may look slightly different on your screen. Where a preview is an illustration rather than the actual book, it is labelled “Illustrative preview”.
- Where we describe a book as aligned to a curriculum or board, that is our description as the publisher. Please check with your school if you need a book that it has prescribed.
- Some books can only be ordered by enquiry. These show an “Enquire to order” option instead of “Add to cart”.
- Where a title is published as an e-book or audiobook, it cannot be bought online here, because this website does not deliver digital files; please ask us about it through an enquiry. Digital formats are not sold online until we announce it on the product page.
- If we find an error in a description or price that affects an order you have placed, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then choose to continue or cancel for a full refund.
Prices, taxes and other charges
- All prices are in Indian rupees (₹).
- The maximum retail price (MRP) of a book is inclusive of all taxes. We never charge more than the MRP; our selling price may be lower.
- Before you pay, checkout shows the total price with every charge listed separately: the price of each book, the shipping charge and any other charge. There are no hidden charges, and nothing is added after you pay.
- Printed books (HSN 4901) are exempt from GST (nil rate), so no GST is charged on them. For these we issue a bill of supply. If anything in your order is taxable, its price already includes GST (as every MRP does) and the GST is shown on your tax invoice; nothing is added on top.
- Prices may change from time to time, but a change does not affect an order we have already confirmed.
Customer accounts
You can buy as a guest or create a customer account. An account lets you see your orders and bills, save delivery addresses and keep a wishlist. You never have to create an account to buy, and creating one does not sign you up to marketing emails.
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date. You can change them in your account at any time.
- Keep your password secret and do not share your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it. We will never ask you for your password.
- Your wishlist and saved addresses are for your own convenience. Saving a book to your wishlist does not reserve it or hold its price.
- You can close your account at any time from the privacy centre in your account. Closing it does not cancel orders already placed; we keep order and bill records for as long as the law requires, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud or misuse, or that breaks these terms. We will tell you why, unless the law prevents us.
Placing an order
- Add books to your cart and go to checkout, as a guest or signed in to your account.
- Enter your contact and delivery details, review the order summary and total price, and tick the box to confirm that you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. This box is never ticked for you in advance.
- Pay through our payment gateway.
- When the payment succeeds, we show an order confirmation and email it to you with your order number. Your contract with us is formed at that point.
We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a book is out of stock, the price shown was clearly wrong, we cannot deliver to your PIN code, or we reasonably suspect fraud. If this happens after you have paid, we will tell you and refund the full amount you paid.
Payment
- Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited (“Razorpay”), a payment aggregator. The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout and may include UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking and wallets.
- You enter your payment details on Razorpay’s secure checkout. In line with the Reserve Bank of India’s rules, we never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking passwords.
- We do not add any fee for using a particular payment method. Your bank or card issuer may charge its own fees (for example, for international cards); please check with them.
- We do not set up recurring or automatic payments.
- If money is deducted but your order is not confirmed, the bank or payment gateway reverses the failed payment within the time limits set by the Reserve Bank of India. If it is not reversed, contact us with the details and we will help.
- For payment problems you can also contact Razorpay at razorpay.com/support. If you believe a payment was unauthorised or incorrect, you can raise a dispute (chargeback) with your bank or card issuer under its rules. Please tell us as well, so that we can help.
Delivery
We deliver within India. Dispatch, delivery, shipping charges and tracking are explained in our Shipping and Delivery Policy.
Cancellations, returns and refunds
You can cancel an order before it is dispatched, and you can return books that arrive damaged, defective, incorrect or not as described. We do not charge cancellation fees. Full details, including how and when refunds are made, are in our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations policy.
Enquiries, quotations and bulk orders
Schools, institutions, libraries, bookshops, distributors and other organisations can ask us for catalogues, sample copies and quotations. A quotation is valid only for the period and quantities stated in it. Bulk or school orders may be placed on terms we agree with you in writing. Those terms apply to that order, but they never reduce your rights under consumer protection law.
Publishing services, manuscripts, rights and translations
You can ask us about our editorial, design, marketing, printing and distribution, and translation services, submit a manuscript, or ask about acquiring or licensing rights and translations. We reply by email. Sending an enquiry, a proposal or a manuscript does not create a publishing, service or licence agreement and does not oblige either of us to go ahead: any such arrangement is agreed separately, in writing. You keep the copyright in your work unless you agree otherwise in writing. Please use the manuscript submission form for manuscripts, not the enquiry forms. Our Manuscript Submission Policy explains how we handle submissions and files.
Content you send us
When you send us a message, a manuscript, a CV or any other material, you confirm that you have the right to share it, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that it is not unlawful, defamatory or someone else’s confidential information. Do not include other people’s personal data unless they have agreed. You keep your rights in what you send; you allow us to store, read and copy it only as needed to answer you or consider it. We do not publish anything you send us without your written agreement.
Events and workshops
When we organise a literary event, workshop, cultural programme, book launch or webinar, its page shows the date, time and place (or that it is online) and whether registration is open. Registering through this website does not involve any payment. Where places are limited, registrations are accepted in the order they arrive until the event is full, and registration closes when the event starts. If an event is changed or cancelled, we will tell registered participants by email. Please tell us if you can no longer attend, so that someone else can have your place. Our Event and Workshop Terms give the details.
Teacher resources and downloads
Worksheets, articles and other resources on this website are for personal and classroom use by teachers, parents and students. You may print them and share them within your school for teaching. You may not sell them, publish them elsewhere or remove our name from them. Some resources ask you to fill in a short form first; we use those details as described in our Privacy Policy.
Copyright and trade marks
Our books, sample pages, illustrations, text, design and this website are protected by copyright under the Copyright Act, 1957. The Synergic Swift Publication name and logo are our trade marks.
You may view and print pages of this website for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, scan, upload or distribute our books or sample pages, in full or in part, without our written permission, except as the law allows (for example, fair dealing under section 52 of the Copyright Act, 1957). How to ask for permission, and how to report a suspected infringement, is explained in our Intellectual Property and Copyright Policy.
Using the website responsibly
You agree not to:
- give false information, use someone else’s details, or place an order you do not intend to pay for;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the website, our systems or other people’s data;
- upload or send viruses or other harmful code;
- use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to copy content or overload the website;
- use the website for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.
We may refuse service or block access where needed to protect the website and our customers.
Fair and honest selling
We follow the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns, 2023. This means:
- No false urgency: we show stock levels or time-limited offers only when they are real.
- No basket sneaking: nothing is added to your cart or total without your choice.
- No drip pricing: the total shown before you pay is the total you pay.
- No confirm-shaming, nagging or trick questions: saying no is as easy as saying yes.
- No forced action: you do not have to subscribe to our newsletter to buy.
- No disguised advertising or fake reviews: we never post reviews or testimonials pretending to be customers, and we publish testimonials only with the person’s consent.
- No subscription traps: we do not sell subscriptions or set up recurring payments.
If anything on our website seems misleading to you, please tell us so that we can fix it.
Other websites and services
Our website links to, or uses, services run by others, such as our payment gateway, courier tracking pages, maps and social media. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Our responsibility to you
- We will supply our books and services with reasonable care and skill, and as described.
- We do not give a separate warranty or guarantee for our books. Your rights for damaged, defective or wrong books are set out in our Returns, Refunds and Cancellations policy, in addition to your rights under law.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
- Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you placed your order, or for losses caused by your own breach of these terms.
- We work to keep the website available and secure, but we cannot promise that it will always be available without interruption or error.
Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, government orders or failures of transport or communication networks (force majeure). We will tell you as soon as possible and, if your order cannot be fulfilled, you can cancel it for a full refund.
Privacy and accessibility
We handle your personal data as explained in our Privacy Policy (also available in Hindi). Our Accessibility Statement explains how we make the website usable for everyone and how to tell us about a barrier.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a problem, please contact us first; most issues can be resolved quickly through our grievance redressal process.
Subject to your right to approach a Consumer Commission or any other forum available to you under law (including where you live or work), the courts at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version and effective date are shown at the top. The terms in force when you placed an order apply to that order.
