Synergic Swift Publication Private Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a publishing house. Respecting copyright — ours, our authors’ and everyone else’s — is at the heart of what we do. This policy explains what is protected, how to ask for permission to use our content, and how to report a suspected infringement. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
What is protected
- Our books, including their text, illustrations, photographs, cover designs, layouts and sample pages, are protected by copyright under the Copyright Act, 1957. Depending on the title, the copyright belongs to us, to the author, or to another rights holder who has licensed it to us.
- The text, graphics, design and software of this website, and the teacher resources and articles published on it, are protected in the same way.
- The Synergic Swift Publication name and logo are our trade marks. Please do not use them in a way that suggests that we endorse you or your product.
What you may do without asking
- View and print pages of this website for your own non-commercial use.
- Use teacher resources for personal and classroom teaching, as our Terms and Conditions allow.
- Quote short extracts for criticism, review, research, private study, reporting or teaching, as fair dealing under section 52 of the Copyright Act, 1957 permits, with a clear acknowledgement of the title, author and publisher.
You may not copy, scan, photocopy in bulk, upload, share as a PDF, translate, adapt, record or sell our books or sample pages, in full or in part, without written permission, except as the law allows.
Asking for permission
To reproduce, translate, adapt or otherwise use our content, write to us at info@synergicswiftpublication.com with the subject “Permission request”, and include:
- your name, organisation and contact details;
- the title, author, edition and ISBN of the book, and the exact pages, extract, illustration or other content you want to use;
- how and where you will use it (for example, in a textbook, an exam paper, a website, a performance or a translation), the language, the territory and the number of copies or the audience;
- the dates for which you need permission.
Permission exists only once we confirm it in writing. Where the copyright belongs to an author or another rights holder, we may need their agreement too, or we will tell you whom to contact. For licensing and translation rights in whole works, you can also use the rights and translations enquiry form on our website.
Reporting a suspected infringement
If you believe that someone is copying, selling or sharing our books without permission (for example, pirated copies or PDFs), or that content on this website infringes your rights, please tell us. Send your report to support@synergicswiftpublication.com with the subject “Copyright report”, or write to Synergic Swift Publication Private Limited, In front of B/65 Vishwakarma Nagar Colony, Varanasi – 221005, Uttar Pradesh, India. Please include:
- your name and contact details, and whether you are the rights holder or act for them;
- a description of the work you believe is infringed;
- where the infringing material is — for example the web address, the name of the seller or shop, or a photo of the copy;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised, and that the information in your report is accurate.
Please do not send more personal data than we need to act on your report. We use the details only to deal with it, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
What we do with a report
- We acknowledge reports within 48 hours, as we do for every complaint, and give you a reference.
- If the report is about content on this website, we review it and, where it appears to infringe, remove or disable it while we look into it. We tell the person who gave us that content, so that they can respond.
- If the report is about pirated copies of our books elsewhere, we may contact the seller or platform, or take other action open to us under law.
- We tell you what we have done. Our Grievance Redressal process and its time limits apply.
If content you gave us was removed
If we removed content that you provided because of a report, and you believe it does not infringe anyone’s rights (for example, because you own it or have permission), write to us with your reasons and any evidence. We will review it and tell you our decision.
Content from others
We credit the authors, illustrators, photographers and other rights holders whose work we use. If you believe that we have used your work without permission or without the right credit, please tell us and we will put it right.
